Hello Julia,

Have done part of Route 66 down to St Louis as part of Route 61. Quite exciting looking for the signs especially the first one in Chicago.

I was told by a tarot reader that I must never go to Albuquerque as it would be bad for me. She also told me that I would be seriously ill when I was 57, now 58 and no illness. Quess I can go on Route 66 then :P

One day I will go on it as it is on my To Do list. So many other places to go to first :)

For this week’s travel inspiration I thought I would tie in two things. First a destination that is very popular with our travellers – the USA, and secondly a tour which started its life on this very forum!

Route 66 is the real America. A lot less gloss, much more grit. It’s the romance of the open road in pursuit of the American Dream that carves a continent in two. Your amazing adventure across the heart of America begins in Chicago and winds through some of America’s finest scenery and most fascinating places from Chicago to LA.

Check out this tour at justyou.co.uk > www.justyou.co.uk/en-gb/tours/route-66/?internal_promotion=community.

Kindest regards,

Julia

P.S. Live in the North? Don’t forget that we have an exclusive Manchester departure in September 2015 and free connecting flights on a selection of our North America holidays throughout the year when you fly from Glasgow, Edinburgh, Manchester or Newcastle!
