Hi Sue,

You can leave belongings in your room, but at your own discretion.

The local currency is the South African Rand.

Many thanks,

Vickie

Hi Sue,

Yes that's correct, these trips are booked locally rather than through Just You so we can't book them in advance.

You're also right about the rooms, the price wouldn't be deducted if you do the excursion because you keep your room for the entire trip and they are not booked out while you're away.

Many thanks,

Vickie

Thank you for your reply, I have a couple more questions. How safe is it to wave things in your room while you are away or would you take valuables with you? Also what currancy do you recommend we take?

Sue

Hi Sue,

The excursions are both booked locally and offered by the hotel, so you will need to have a look at prices on arrival. Please ask your Tour Manager and they will be happy to help.

I do have some information about the overnight stay:

HLUHLUWE OVERNIGHT SAFARI

• Approximately 7000 rand per person if sharing, with an 900 rand single supplement

• Spend a night in Africa’s oldest national park, the Hluhluwe Umfolozi Game Reserve on this thrilling 2-day excursion. We'll transfer you to the St Lucia estuary, where you will enjoy a two-hour hippo and crocodile cruise. Afterwards, you can take lunch in the town if you wish (at extra cost) before we head to the Hluhluwe Umfolozi Game Reserve. We'll spend the rest of the afternoon searching for the 'Big 5' as well as all the other wonderful animals in the park.  We'll arrive at the Hilltop camp late afternoon. After time at leisure, your guide will prepare a wonderful South African braai, a traditional barbecue, for you to enjoy. Later you can choose to join an optional night drive with the park rangers. On day 2, you will head out with the park rangers for an early-morning game drive. On returning to the camp, enjoy a scrumptious breakfast before checking out.

With regards to  the seaview / balcony  - most rooms have a view, however you can pay the supplement in the brochure of £30pppn or £210 for the week to upgrade to a room specifically with a balcony 🙂

Many thanks,

Vickie

Hi Vickie

Thank you for the reply, so that I have a better understanding, on this tour non if the excursions are organised by Just you it is the hotel and do cannot book in advance?   Also the cost of the overnight excursion includes two overnight stays and food, so this would mean I would be paying for two nights accommodation and food in the resort as well even though I am not there?  I assume this is because we do not have to book out of our rooms while we are away on the overnight excursion?

Look forward to hearing from you

Sue

Hiya

Please can you tell me how much the optional excursions cost on the above tour, especially the overnight stay?

Thanks
