Hi anpev,

To clarify, the people doing the Best of Canada's West tour will be joined by people on the Canada East to West tour. There will also be some people in your group who have chosen to do the Rocky Mountaineer as well.

I would like to reassure you that our Tour Managers have been thoroughly briefed on these new tours, they will make sure that everyone is looked after in both groups. When the Canada East to West tour joins you, everyone will be introduced to make sure that you all feel part of the trip.

The benefit of doing our new Best of Canada's West tour is that it will run with our Canada and the Rocky Mountaineer tour, which we have been running for some time, so it's well established and has had good reviews.

We have joined these tours together so we can offer people a better date range, if they were run separately we would only be able to offer a couple of dates.

We have run tours that join together for some time, and we have had very positive feedback about them.

I would like to apologise that the information you were told by our contact centre was incorrect. I will pass this to our team leaders and request that an adviser give you a call back to make sure you have a clear explanation of this tour.

Many thanks,

Vickie

I am shocked. I joined the community page today just so I could share my shock!

I phoned JY yesterday and was assured that the Best of the West tour does NOT join up with the other tours. I asked the question because of the tours running on the same dates. (as Roger explained so well). I was told that the tours ran completely separately. I was still sceptical; so I asked that an email be sent to me to confirm what I was told. The advisor agreed to send an email, but I haven't received it yet.

What is going on at JY? I have been travelling with you for years and have enjoyed nearly 30 holidays with you, but I can honestly say that I may well be taking my custom elsewhere if this confusion continues!

When travelling as a single traveller, joining a group of like minded people for a tour is a wonderful way to meet new people and friendships are often formed quickly within the group of strangers. I am sure this is important to many of your travellers. Mixing and matching tours, in my opinion, is a road to disaster and not one I wish follow.

Hi Lisa,

Apologies for the delay. Yes, you are correct that those groups will join up and then go on their separate ways depending on which trip they have chosen.

Many thanks,

Vickie

Hi Vickie

I have still not had a reply to my query.

Thanks

Lisa

Hi Roger,

The best thing to do would be to give us a call so our Holiday Advisers can look into your questions and check everything for you. They will also be able to check regarding your cruise booking.

Many thanks,

Vickie

Hi Vickie,

Having grown my Hercule Poirot moustache I have done some detective work.

I am also signed up for this Tour commencing June 2.

It appears this will comprise 4 separate Tours .. Eastern Wonders 2/6, Canada’s West 11/6, Canada and the Rocky Mountaineer 11/6 and Canada East to West.

Presumably we will all ‘join up’ into one large group when appropriate ?

This being the case I was wondering what the current numbers/make up is for these individual Tours and what the maximum numbers will be ?

Also, regarding the ‘Alaska Cruise add-on’, can you confirm when our names will be officially booked for this ?

Pre Xmas I was looking to book some of the excursions as the Cruise Line informed me it was best to book in advance rather than wait until on board as some of them sell out prior (I’m assuming these are not bookable through ‘Just You’).

However, to log on to their website I require a ‘Booking Number’. There is currently no record of me being booked on a Cruise.

Looking at their departures I’m assuming I am booked on their June 22nd Cruise ?

Perhaps you could clarify the situation and/or if it’s better for me to ring the Holiday Advisors line ?

Many thanks,

Roger

Hi Lisa,

Apologies for the delay. There are 8 people booked so far, 4 women and 4 women. Their ages range from mid 40s to mid 70s.

Many thanks

Thanks Vickie

Also wanted to check with you, I see the Canada's Eastern Wonders tour starts on the 2nd June and the Best of Canada West on the 11th June with the exact same itinerary as the East to West tour. Does this mean that some people will be doing the Canada West tour then heading home, while the 8 people that have booked the East to West tour will fly to Calgary and then meet up with the people doing the Best of Canada's West tour.

Thanks

Lisa
