Hello Amy

Thanks for your reply. Yes Sunday can be a free day for me to see the main flower parade. Also just wanted to let others know what is on during that week.

Thanks

Maggie

Hello

I am booked on the holiday to Madeira commencing 20th April 2018. I want to make it known to other holiday makers thinking about this holiday that the annual flower festival starts on 19th April. It is apparently an amazing spectacle (see You tube videos of this). On Saturday 21st in the morning there is a children's flower parade. On Sunday 22nd April in the afternoon there is the main parade - "The great Allegoric flower parade". It is possible to see this parade for free by the roadside but you can also buy grand stand seat tickets for around 30 Euros although I am struggling to find a site to book this. I am surprised that there has been no mention of the flower festival in the brochure or online (other travel companies have advertised this special occasion). This will also be the reason for the higher price of this holiday in April as the cost of the hotels will be higher during this time. Also throughout the week there are several flower exhibitions around Funchal during this time. I would like to find out what special arrangements are being made to enhance our holiday during this week. I would also like to find out where I can get a ticket for the grandstand seats for the parade on Sunday 22nd in the afternoon.

Many thanks

Maggie
