Hi! Just booked this trip next May. I've booked a lower deck cabin but would love to hear what the benefits of having one on the main or top deck. I think the lower deck might be quieter but I've still got time to change as there is still availablity

I did a similar trip 2 years ago but in a different ship.   I had a lower deck cabin and found the size perfectly OK.   The cabin had a porthole and the door led into a corridor.   Those on the upper decks had windows and doors which opened out onto the deck and some of them were not happy when we were moored next to another ship because they had to keep their curtains closed whereas, with a porthole fairly high up, I wasn't overlooked.   The only disadvantage of the bottom deck could be that when the engine starts up early in the morning you can hear it!   It didn't bother me because I always take ear plugs and just came to, realised what it was and went back to sleep again but one or two folk grumbled like mad and said they had never had this problem when on an ocean cruise with P&O or Cunard!

So the choice is yours!

Have a lovely holiday - mine had a slightly different title but basically the same itinerary and I thoroughly enjoyed it.

The main deck and upper deck cabins are all on deck cabins, with outside entrances. The only difference is that some are on the main deck (where you enter the ship from mainland), together with the salon/restaurant area, and some are on the upper deck.

For the main deck and upper deck cabins, the cabin sizes are slightly larger (3x3 m cabin size, without bathroom).

The lower cabins are a bit quitter than the rest of the cabins.

                      Just back from this tour you will have a great time .Good food ,good sights and friendly helpful crew and good tour manager Minja . No dress code ,but they asked you to cover up swimwear at meal times and captains dinner we dressed smart.
