I wonder if the JY team here and/or on the Rivieras could comment on the recent reports of the ongoing troubles in Ventimiglia, Italy and Menton, France - two of the destinations on this tour - i.e hundreds of migrants from the local reception centre in the former invading the beach areas and clashing with riot police trying to cross the border into the latter.

 

Whilst I have every sympathy for the plight of legitimate migrants, quite selfishly, I have no wish to get involved with these troubles whilst on holiday. Obviously JY would not allow our safety to be compromised, but any comments, thoughts of changing the itinerary?

Hi Sandy,

Our Holiday Creator Team has been liaising this with the local agent which have confirmed that this itinerary is unaffected by the ongoing migrants situation, and will run as planned.

For all of our itineraries we continually monitor the Foreign Office (FCO) advice and work in conjunction with local agents to ensure all aspects of the holidays can operate as planned. This tour has operated very successfully several times this year and there have been no concerns raised, however in the unlikely event any amendments were to occur we would be in contact with all affected customers as soon as possible.
