Hi Cindy

In my experience sometimes modern technology 'refuses' to accept some lines of the address. This happened to me once when I was placing an order online to be delivered as a gift and even though I kept on typing the correct address and post code, it just would not accept it. Hence, I did not place the order and have not bothered going back. Sometimes old fashioned technology is the best!

The thing is, if the post gets really lost will you ever know! If your waiting for something you will but who knows, with modern technology it's strange that JY have a problem in there system with where you are and sorting it out once and for all..

Hi Bob

How annoying. I was talking to Customer Services yesterday and the chap advised that JY would be moving towards doing more things electronically. When I asked about the time frame, I was told around March. So watch this space. It can only get better!

Sylvia

Hi Jaya, it was a fairly standard letter reflecting current Foreign Office advice - as the media have reported, it really only affects those who are pregnant or trying to become pregnant. Anyone else who gets it, the zika virus seems to be quite mild and not serious. I'm not one bit worried about it at all!

Best wishes,

Bob

Hi

I have not received any communication yet about this virus - not that I am worried about it.

Jaya

Hi Monty,

Many thanks for looking into this for me. I will keep an eye on future mailings and if anything goes awry again I'll let you know immediately.

Best wishes,

Bob

Hi Bob,

I hope the letter ironed out some of the worries you undoubtedly have.

In regards to your address, I am afraid there is an error in our system which will not accept ROI addresses. I have spoke to our admin team and they have made an amendment to your address in hope your address will be completed. Next time you are sent something from us please let me know if it is complete or not, as we equally do not want you to miss out on any important information.

Kindest regards,

Monty

Hi Monty,

I've just received a letter from JY regarding the Zika Virus - well done to you for being so quick off the mark about this. However once again my address was incomplete - the first line was repeated twice and the town, county and country were all missing. Someone in the Post Office has written "ROI" for Ireland on the envelope to aid delivery. This is most annoying and it keeps on happening. Can you or someone in admin please do something about this to put it right once and for all. I am genuinely worried that some time important holiday documents will not arrive because of an incomplete address or inadequate postage (at least this time it was sent first class). On a previous occasion, an amended invoice never arrived and Julia subsequently emailed it to me and on another occasion I never received a holiday questionnaire.

I really hate to complain but this keeps happening!!

Best wishes,

Bob

PS I see from my holiday docs that JY plan to start issuing them electronically - a very good idea!!
