Hi, I did this tour in May 2015 and was very satisfied in all aspects. Weather was perfect and did not encounter any pollution that happens during the peak summer. Have a great time if travelling in May 2016.

Best wishes,

Drewpat.

Hi I went in September 2014 and I think it was a good time to go - it was hot but not unbearable in the cities and there was no smog in Beijing! It did rain in Xian however but you can't win them all! I think Monty is right in avoiding high summer and the depths of winter, but as always these days it's the luck of the draw, as any part of the world can have unseasonable or freak weather these days.

Hope you go and have a wonderful time,

Bob

Hi Debbee,

The best weather is around April/May and September/October as the temperature should be quite pleasant. The winter can be very cold and the summer can be very hot, so its really down to personal preference.

The truth is that domestic tourism within China is growing all the time, so no time will be really quiet. However, our Holiday Creator plans the tour whilst dodging the Chinese National holidays, which are the main cause for major queues - so any of our dates should be relatively quiet.

I hope this helps.

Kindest regards,

Monty

When is the best time to visit China in your opinion? When are less crowds/queues and best weather ie not too hot?
