Hi Roslyn, sorry to hear you were unable to make the trip. I was on this tour & it was a fantastic trip with a great bunch of people.
I know that JY have changed the itinerary for 2013 but SA is a fascinating country to visit & the trip is certainly well worth doing.
All the included excursions are very good as are the optional ones although I did not do the Winelands trip as I went to Robben Island instead but those that did the trip had a good time.
The weather in the Cape area was a bit cool that time of the year & you needed to wear your fleece most of the time. We also had a little rain but not much to worry about. Further north in Kruger iot was much warmer & all of the game drives are a must do.
This trip is a varied & interesting tour & there is always something different to do, I even did the bungy jump off the Bloukrans bridge which was just incredible.
I can't say anything negative about the tour we did although obviously this year the tour has changed a bit but still well worth doing.
I did not do the Victoria Falls add on as unfortunately I did not enough holiday left to do it but I do know from emails received from some that went on it they had a briiliant time & if you want to consider that as well see Sally's comments on the South Africa September 2013 thread.
Hope this helps and that you get to do this trip at sometime it is well worth it.
