Thanks Olly
Hi Bondensbabe

I have been to Slovenia briefly - I was travelling from Croatia to Venice - and it did look like a lovely place. I don't think we have any plans to go there in the near future but it may be one to watch for at a later date.

Kind regards,

Olly, your editor

Apologies for kind of butting in here as I am not going on this trip! I have been twice to Rabac in the past, (mid 80's though) and had a great time. It's a lovely village with some stunning scenery and the people are so welcoming.

Do NOT under any circumstances miss the Plitvice trip! But make sure you are wearing very sensible shoes! And the caves and Stud Farm are lovely too. I went to them when I stayed twice in Slovenia. Incidentally Olly, why don't Just You do Slovenia? It would be a great destination for a walking holiday and the Lakes are so nice.

Mick I would say that the transfer time is easily correct. I have only flown in Pula when I have visited Rabac, but the transfer time from there was well over a hour to Rabac.

Have a great time those that are going.

Hi Sophie

I don't have prices for 2011 yet but last year the Postojna Caves and Lipica Stud Farm trip was £66 and the cruise was £15. I'll let you knwo if I hear more soon but you will receive a list of excursions and prices before you travel.

Kind regards,

Hi Olly

Would you be able to give rough estimates of the optional extras for the Croatia trip?

It looks really good, but I would want to do the Venice and Lipica stud excursion (at least!) and am on a bit of a budget this year - aren't we all!

Thanks

Sophie

Hi Mick

I had a look at Google Maps on the internet and found that the distance is actually 110 miles (175km). Google Maps estimates the journey at around 2 hrs 25 mins, but bear in mind that you would be travelling in a coach rather than a car along some quite hilly roads, and that there would be a comfort break along the way. So I would say 3 hrs 30 is probably about right.

Croatia is a beautiful country and definitely worth the slightly longer transfer time. It has some of the style of Italy but also the laid-back charm of Greece.

Kind regards,

Olly, your editor

Hi Olly,

Recieved the new Brochure today and considering a few holiday options for later in the year.

I looked at the Croatia trip and it states transfer time from airport to hotel is 3 hours 30 minutes. Checked a map and it looks to be around 60-70 miles so the time seems excessive.

Is it correct ?
